Your Workspace Awarded NEUPC Contract

Your Workspace are delighted to announce that after an exacting and formal tender process, they have been awarded a place on the highly saught after North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) Contract, as a formal specialist and technical furniture supplier in Lot 3.

NEUPC is one of eight UK Higher Education purchasing consortia (UKUPC) established to deliver and manage a wide range of collaborative framework agreements, designed to maximise third-party expenditure within the higher education sector.

Utilising a partnership approach, NEUPC provides collaborative procurement expertise, guidance and agreements that are aligned to, and actively support members’ needs, values and objectives. As a non-profit making operation their sole motivation is to maximise institutions resources and that of the wider public sector.

The contract will include universities from other consortia regions including those within the NEUPC, SUPC, LUPC and HEPCW consortia. This latest contract will allow Your Workspace to offer their award-winning smart storage solution, Simplicity, to over 400 universities nationwide.

Simplicity is Your Workspace’s flagship product. The software located within each locker door (a technology powered by smart software provider Vecos) is what makes the lockers ‘smart’.  Vecos’ company legacy started in the educational sector and initially developed their SaaS offering specifically for university and college settings.

As market leaders, with decades of experience working across a multitude of industries; Your Workspace have helped businesses and higher education establishments around the globe transition to a flexible way of working and learning through their innovative furniture designs and smart storage solutions.

Simplicity gives full visibility around usage and with no geographical boundaries, offers remote management across various buildings, campuses and even countries.

With flexibility at its’ design core, students can travel around campus unencumbered by personal belongings, and can access any smart locker by using the free app, which can also integrate with existing university and student apps, or via their student card.

With a focus on innovation and ‘green’ design, the modular nature of Simplicity also allows the lockers to be re-purposed, upcycled and re-configured to increase the product lifespan.

Your Workspace will also be offering the consortia their smart pick-up solution, YPUP, that will help to streamline and automate the parcel delivery and collection process throughout campuses and within halls of residence.

Your Workspace have assigned a dedicated team to the contract, which will be headed up by Wynn Morris, an expert in the furniture and manufacturing industry who has over 30 years’ experience of working within the Public Sector and on major framework contracts.

Wynn Morris, Head of Public Sector, Your Workspace, said: “This is the first time we have been awarded a place on the NEUPC framework which is a great achievement for the company. We already specialise in the Public Sector and have previously installed our smart locker products into many universities throughout the UK, including the University of Glasgow, the University of Huddersfield, and the University of Southampton. We are therefore very confident we will be a great asset to this contract and look forward to building strong partnerships with the consortia members”.

Your Workspace, a proud British manufacturer, have seen excellent growth over the past few years despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. Having benefitted from orders of nearly £15m in 2021, they are now targeting £20m for 2022, in which they hope that this new public sector contract would play a part. This is an outstanding milestone for the company, who have been trading for just over 10 years and have already provided over 7500 smart lockers to their prestigious Public Sector portfolio in recent years.

Adrian Cowley, Managing Director, Your Workspace said: “As a result of the pandemic, we have seen a dramatic shift in the marketplace, with smart technologies rising exponentially in recent years, especially in the Public Sector. As matter experts in our field, we are delighted to be able to offer our award-winning smart storage solutions to the universities who fall within the NEUPC and are looking forward to the next 4 years on the framework”.
