Antibacterial Finishes Help Safeguard Your Simplicity Lockers

Enquire.

In light of the recent Covid-19 crisis, we understand the importance of making your workspaces as safe as possible for your employees and clients. That is why we have decided to highlight the antibacterial and antimicrobial options available to our clients. For businesses who are transitioning to agile ways of working and who are using more shared and collaborative work areas, this will be particular useful.

Our offering

Our huge range of finishes across our product lines already includes Egger’s Perfect Sense range, which has antibacterial surface properties.  We are also able to manufacture your furniture and storage in several antimicrobial finishes. Choose from the Abet Laminati Lamishield range, and Formica Infiniti by Formica, which both use BioCote technology. Or any Polyrey finish, which use Sanitized technology. We can also add a painted finish to any surface, including metal work, which contains antibacterial properties also.

How can a furniture finish be antimicrobial?

An additive is added to our range of materials during the manufacturing process. This coating adds antimicrobial protection to the decorative layer of the board; helping to reduce the risk of infection and illnesses spread by cross-contamination. The coating, which takes advantage of silver’s natural protective properties, kills microbes on the surface by interfering with their DNA.

The benefits

BioCote and Sanitized both offer scientifically proven antimicrobial technology which is also antiviral and anti-fungal. This technology provides lasting and effective protection, reducing harmful bacteria by up to 99.99%.

When combined with good hand hygiene, and routine cleaning practices, this inhibits the growth of a wide range of microbes and bacteria on any surface in your workplace that uses this type of finish.

The antimicrobial additive also helps to minimise staining, bad odours, and material degradation on any surface it is applied to. It won’t cause discolouration or affect the final finish as the protective properties are guaranteed to be effective during the lifetime of the product. A worthwhile investment to safeguard your employees, clients, and guests.
